Most people think interior design is about choosing things.The right sofa. The right finish. The right light fixture.It’s not.It’s about understanding how a person actually lives — and then building a space around that. Not around a trend. Not around what photographs well. Around them.I spend a lot of time with floor plans before I touch anything else. Because the layout is the logic. Get that wrong and nothing on top of it will ever feel quite right.This is the part of the work nobody sees.
